About the Skylla-TG 24/50 GMDSS 120-240V
The Victron Skylla-TG 24/50 GMDSS is a specialised battery charger designed for maritime Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) installations. Delivering 50A at 24V, it features a built-in battery controller that fully monitors battery capacity and can indicate time-to-go in case of power supply blackout.
The charger provides all required GMDSS monitoring and alarm data, displayed via the optional VE.Net GMDSS panel (ordered separately) connected through a standard eight-wire UTP cable. Charge voltage can be precisely adjusted to suit any VRLA or flooded battery system.
Accepting universal 120-240V AC input (120-230V range, 45-65Hz), the charger uses microprocessor-controlled IUoUo three-step charging for optimal battery care. An external temperature sensor enables automatic charge voltage compensation. Built with IP21 protection rating for marine environments.
