How Solar Yield is Estimated

Solar yield depends on your location (solar irradiance), panel wattage, orientation, and system efficiency. We use average UK solar irradiance data measured in kWh/m²/day (also called Peak Sun Hours).

Daily Yield = Panel Wattage × Number of Panels × Peak Sun Hours × System Efficiency / 1000

We apply a 0.85 system efficiency factor to account for losses from wiring, charge controller conversion, temperature, and shading.
