The Victron Energy Solar Cable 5m 4mm² (SCA000500000) is a quality photovoltaic extension lead designed for reliable DC connections between solar panels and charge controllers in smaller solar installations. Featuring a 4mm² (12 AWG) conductor, this cable is suitable for systems with lower current requirements where a 6mm² cable would be unnecessary. The 4mm² cross-section provides a good balance between cost efficiency and power transfer for typical domestic and small commercial solar panel setups. Pre-assembled with MC4-compatible PV-ST01 waterproof connectors (male on one end, female on the other), the cable is ready for immediate installation without crimping tools. The double-insulated construction provides superior protection against moisture, UV radiation, and abrasion for long-term outdoor use. Designed for use with the Victron BlueSolar and SmartSolar range of solar panels and charge controllers, but compatible with all standard MC4-equipped solar equipment. For higher-current installations or longer cable runs, the 6mm² versions are recommended to minimise voltage drop.
