About the Temperature sensor for BMV-702/712
The Victron Temperature Sensor enables battery temperature monitoring on BMV-702, BMV-712, and SmartShunt battery monitors. It plugs directly into the circuit board on the shunt and provides accurate temperature data for temperature-compensated charging and cold-weather protection. When installed, the second channel on BMV-702/712 switches from midpoint/aux voltage to temperature monitoring. Temperature data is stored in historical records and visible on VRM portal.
