About the VE.Direct TX digital output cable
The Victron VE.Direct TX Digital Output Cable connects the TX output of the VE.Direct port on BlueSolar and SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers to external loads or LED drivers. It supports two primary applications: solar lighting with PWM dimming, where the cable connects to the PWM input of an LED driver to automatically dim lights based on battery state of charge, reducing energy consumption and extending availability; and virtual load output for larger MPPT controllers (100/30 and above) that lack a physical load output, providing equivalent load disconnect functionality via software control. Ideal for off-grid lighting systems, street lights, and marine courtesy lighting.
